CD40-TF tag mRNA-LNP

CD40 (Cluster of differentiation 40) is a type I transmembrane protein encoded by the CD40 gene and belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily. CD40 is a co-stimulatory receptor molecule, which is mainly expressed on antigen-presenting cells, some non-immune cells and tumors, and binds to CD40 ligand molecules transiently expressed on T cells and non-immune cells under inflammatory conditions. CD40/CD40L signaling acts as an immune checkpoint, controlling and modulating host immune responses to various diseases and pathogens, as well as the development of cancer and autoimmune diseases. Due to its essential role in immune activation, the CD40/CD40L interaction is considered an attractive target for immunotherapy. This product is designed as a tool for the delivery and expression of TF-tagged human CD40 mRNA for research. The product leverages the lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology platform for simple and efficient delivery of hCD40-TF mRNA to a variety of mammalian cells in vitro and in vivo. The LNPs used are formulated with SM-102, DSPC, cholesterol and DMG-PEG2000 at an optimal molar concentration for a high rate of encapsulation and efficient mRNA delivery. The hCD40-TF protein is about 33 kD, consisting of hCD40 and a C-terminal TF tag (15 amino acids). The GenPept accession number for hCD40 (277 amino acids) is NP_001241.
