Rabbit polyclonal to GMCSF.Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GMCSF) is also known as Colony stimulatingfactor 2 (CSF2), which is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function ofgranulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes. The active form of GMCSF is foundextracellularly as a homodimer. Deletion of the gene location on chromosome 5q has been implicatedwith 5q-syndrom and acute myelogenous leukemia.
