AC-099 hydrochloride is a small molecule acting as a selective, full agonist at the NPFF2 receptor (EC50=1189 nM) and a partial agonist at NPFF1R (EC50=2370 nM). It is applied in research to reverse opioid-induced hyperalgesia and is utilized in both in vitro receptor studies and in vivo models of nociceptive sensitization and opioid tolerance.
