Anticanceragent 314 is a multi-target anticancer compound with inhibitory effects on tubulin polymerization (IC50= 6.35 μM) and human carbonic anhydrase IX (Ki= 27.1 nM) and XII (Ki= 20.9 nM). It binds to the colchicine-binding site of tubulin and inhibits tumor-associated carbonic anhydrase isozymes through zinc coordination at the enzyme's active site. This agent induces G2/M cell cycle arrest and apoptosis through a p53-dependent signaling pathway, showing broad-spectrum antiproliferative activity across various cancer cell lines.
