Cadherin-3 (CDH3), also known as P-Cadherin, is a classical cadherin that functions as a calcium-dependent glycoprotein mediating cell-cell adhesion. Structurally, it is characterized by five extracellular cadherin repeats, a single transmembrane domain, and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. The CDH3 gene resides within a cadherin cluster on chromosome 16q, a genomic region linked to loss of heterozygosity in breast and prostate cancer. Furthermore, aberrant expression of the protein is implicated in the pathology of cervical adenocarcinoma.

Application Notes	This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 62.3 kDa. The protein migrates as 53-55 kDa and 70-80 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
