Recombinant Human tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1(TIMP-1) protein is produced by Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Cys24-Ala207 is expressed with a His tag at the C-terminus. The TIMP-1 protein consisting of 199 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 21.89 kDa and migrates as an 27.8 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
