C6 L-threo Ceramide is a cell-permeable, metabolically stable ceramide analog. It exhibits cytotoxicity in U937 cells (IC50 = 18 µM) and modulates immune responses, such as enhancing PMA-induced IL-4 production in EL4 T cells at 10 µM. This compound is used in sphingolipid research to study apoptosis and cell signaling pathways without conversion to glucosylceramide.
