Fulvotomentoside B, a saponin derived from Lactobacillus flavus, displays hepatoprotective properties. It notably decreases serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT) and triacylglycerol (GT) concentrations in mice subjected to hepatic injury induced by CCl₄, d-galactosamine (d-gal), and acetaminophen, while also significantly mitigating liver tissue damage.
