Selnoflast (RO7486967) monopotassium, also known as Somalix/RG6418/IZD334 monopotassium, is an orally active, potent, selective, and reversible small molecule inhibitor of the NLRP3 inflammasome. It effectively inhibits IL-1β release triggered by NLRP3 activation in monocyte-derived macrophages from human Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients. Selnoflast monopotassium holds promise for research into Alzheimer's disease and systemic inflammatory diseases such as ulcerative colitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
